Are The Paints On Your Walls Low Or No VOC?

March 31, 2010

If your home needs a fresh coat of paint, consider some of the new low or no VOC alternatives.

We use high quality interior paints for all our painting jobs and we’re finding that more and more people are asking for alternatives to the standard options available.  In our experience, some of the low/no VOC paint options work extremely well, and we are excited to offer this to our customers as an option that really works – and more importantly looks GREAT.

Vermont tends to be very environmentally conscious, but sometimes we just don’t think about the difference something like paint can make.

If you’re considering painting a new room for a baby, changing the decor of a room to match your child’s growing interests, or you’re just tired of looking at the same colors you’ve been looking at for the last few years, consider the more environmentally friendly alternatives.    There are lots of benefits!

  • The air quality in your home will be healthier
  • The earth will benefit from less toxins
  • You’ll be contributing to less toxic waste
  • Our lungs (and yours!) will thank you!

With all of that said, do we still use original paint when our clients prefer it?  Of course we do! Because at Purple and Sage Property Maintenance, it’s always about what’s best for you, the client.

You’ll still be able to take advantage of our excellent work regardless of the paint you prefer.  We just thought we’d weigh in on the fact that there are some excellent Eco-friendly alternatives on the market now.

I’m so happy to see this here – we painted our kids’ rooms last summer and used low/no VOC paint – we’re very happy with the look, and LOVE the fact that it’s better for the environment!
